Hobby Art Christmas Workshop
Saturday 12th November 2022, 10am through to 4.00pm
Venue: St John’s Hall, 59 The Avenue, Tadworth, Surrey KT20 5AB
Opposite Tadworth Train Station. Ample parking
Our first Christmas workshop sold out, so this is a repeat workshop for those that didn’t get a space.
If you haven’t been to a workshop for a while there are some changes. The main change is that, at least for the time being, we are having fewer people in each workshop. The maximum will be 15 people per workshop. This worked really well in the April workshop and we all enjoyed the day.
For this reason, I would advise you to book quickly. If I find there are too many people wanting to come on the workshop I will repeat it.
The day will consist of stamping and stencils and we aim to complete at least 3 cards in that time but you may end up with some homework too.
Everything you need to do the projects on the day will be provided.
We’ve had lots of paperwork from St Johns Hall regarding safety. As a team obviously we’ve discussed this and have decided that it’s just a question of common sense.
We will do everything we can to ensure your safety.
There will be sanitiser available but feel free to bring your own too.
It’s a nice airy hall and we will have doors and windows open, if appropriate, depending on the weather. Who knows in November? Lol.
If you are coming to the workshop by yourself you will have a table by yourself.
If you are coming with friends you will sit with your friends with a space either side of the group.
We would ask that you do not come to the workshop if you are unwell. If you do need to cancel we will transfer you to the next workshop (No dates yet but more workshops will be arranged soon)
If you could do a lateral flow test before attending that would be great but not essential. We are trusting that everyone is as concerned for their safety as we are and will use common sense.
Here are the usual notes in case you’ve forgotten since we last met. If there is anything we have missed, or if you have questions or would like to discuss anything please phone us at Hobby Art on 01737 813128 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we are out of the Office please leave your name and telephone number clearly and we will get back to you.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT TO SIT NEXT TO ANYONE IN PARTICULAR SO THAT WE CAN WORK OUT THE SEATING. THIS WILL SAVE US TIME ON THE DAY.
We are serving food as we did prior to Covid. Feel free to bring your own food if you prefer but please let us know, if possible, so we don’t over cater.
There will be drinks available all day.
Lunch will be a variety of sandwiches, quiche and salad.
We will ask your preferences on the morning.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC DIETARY NEEDS PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE SO THAT WE CAN OFFER YOU ALTERNATIVES.
Crafting will start at 10am with the day finishing at 4.00pm.
As the group is half the usual size I will be doing the workshop without a second tutor.
Anna will be helping too and, as you know, she is a talented artist with a wide crafting knowledge.
There will be a small shop open all day and a 10% discount will be applied unless the item is already discounted. There will be time during the lunch hour and at the end of the day to use the shop as usual.
Please arrive from 9.30 onwards. It is inevitable that some people may arrive at the same time so please just keep a distance until we get everyone seated.
